St. Thomas
Aquinas
Project Information
With buildings dating from 1940, the St. Thomas campus had evolved into three separate structures of church, school and parish center. To foster a greater sense of community, and help maximize use of all the spaces, this design physically connected all 3 areas. New spaces included an expanded narthex, science classroom, chapel, catering kitchen, renovated gym, kindergarten and multiuse spaces. The design also respects Evans Woollen's landmark 1965 sanctuary, reflecting the philosophy of Vatican II. 2001
