Project Information
This lakeside residence for a midwestern couple replaces an earlier home owned by the family for decades, that was totally destroyed in a recent fire. Planned as their retirement home, the compact plan provides for daily living on a single level, coupled with lower activity space fronting the water. Responding to the harsh Minnesota winters, the structure employs insulated concrete foundations, a continuous exterior insulating membrane, triple insulated windows, R-60 roof insulation, and radiant floors supplied by a tankless heater. Interiors are simple, utilizing local softwoods for accent and ceiling treatments. Currently under construction. 2021
